Household Collections

Household Collections

As part of our commitment to responsible metal recovery, AMR offers free kerbside collection for household metal waste in selected regions. This initiative is designed to make recycling more accessible for households while diverting valuable materials from landfill.

We collect a variety of acceptable metal-based items including:

  • Old appliances and white goods (e.g. fridges, washing machines)
  • Ewaste
  • Hot water systems
  • Roofing iron and metal sheeting
  • Fencing, gates, and garden tools
  • Metal furniture and fixtures
  • Bicycles, metal toys, and exercise equipment
  • Wiring, pipes, and scrap steel
All items must be placed kerbside the evening before collection and must be under 3 metres in length. We do not accept hazardous, flammable, or non-metallic waste.

AMR TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Kindly place your scrap metal items on the kerbside by the afternoon prior to your scheduled collection date to ensure they are ready for pickup.
  • Please ensure all items are dismantled and/or do not exceed 3 metres in length.
  • AMR staff are unable to access private properties. Items should be placed on the grass kerbside or, where feasible, against your fence or letterbox. Items must not be left on the footpath.
  • Please note that exact collection times cannot be provided.
  • If your scheduled collection is not completed by 4:00 pm on the designated day, the booking will automatically be rescheduled for the following day.
