No. Under the NSW Scrap Metal Industry Act 2016, scrap metal recyclers are prohibited from offering cash payments for scrap metal. All transactions must be made electronically or via cheque to ensure traceability and compliance.
The only exception is for aluminium beverage containers processed under the Return and Earn scheme (Cash for Cans).

No, there’s no need to estimate or guess. AMR provides on-site Weigh & Pay services for both drop-off and bulk collection. Your material is weighed accurately at the yard or on-site, and you’re paid accordingly.
